Last updated: October 16, 2026. This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit getforkful.com ("Forkful", "we") and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

What data we process and why

Browsing data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Emails you send us: if you write to [email protected], we use your address and message only to reply to you. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f GDPR). We delete these messages once the matter is closed, and in any case within 12 months.

Advertising: with your consent, Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads, personalise them based on your browsing, limit how often you see them and measure their performance. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR). If you do not consent, Google may show non-personalised ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

Forkful has no user accounts, no comment forms and no analytics of its own, and we do not sell personal data.

Cookies

Forkful itself does not set any cookies. Cookies on this site are set by Google AdSense and its advertising partners, only after you give consent where the law requires it. You can see which cookies Google uses at https://business.safety.google/adscookies/ and opt out of personalised advertising at https://adssettings.google.com. More information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a Google-certified consent message and can change or withdraw their choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Recipients and international transfers

We use these providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers: Cloudflare, Inc. (website hosting, security and email forwarding), Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (advertising) and Unsplash Inc. (the recipe photos are loaded from its servers, which receive your IP address). Some of these providers may transfer data to the United States; these transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Our fonts are hosted on our own server.

Your rights

You can request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and data portability, and you can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To do so, write to [email protected]. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) or the authority in your country.

Children

Forkful is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy when the law or our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
